Group Supervision of Spiritual Directors

September 18, 25 and October 2, 2019

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course for supervisors on group supervision of spiritual directors is seminar-style instruction and practice using models of group supervision. It will comprise three one-hour Zoom sessions over the course of three weeks.

In the first session you will meet other supervisors, briefly share your own experience of group supervision, and learn about one particular model of group supervision along with some variations.

In the second session, one volunteer member of the group will bring a case for supervision and the instructor will lead the whole group in an all-for-one group supervision session following the model. In the final session, members will bring and present for discussion their own variants of the model, or other models. Strengths and limitations of the models will be discussed.

By the end of the course, participants will have been exposed to, experienced, and further developed group supervision models and will be better prepared to work out their own style of this important group work.
